Susan Luciani, MSW, RSW has been providing individuals and families with counselling, therapy, consultation, education, training and rehabilitation for over 20 years. Beach Counselling Services (BCS) provides easy access to a private practitioner quickly and seamlessly. BCS is committed to offering counselling, psychotherapy, consulting and rehabilitation services during life challenges and transitions. Our mission is to provide services that promote optimal functioning and well-being.
BCS is committed to reducing physical and social-economic barriers by offering flexible office hours and house-calls. The service is private and confidential and it is covered under most insurance plans.
Susan Luciani is a registered social worker who offers support and guidance with issues ranging from anxiety, depression, obsession, pain and anger management, parent/child conflict, gender identity, sexual abuse, trauma, and elder care. Susan Luciani has worked in various community and health sectors and an original board member of the Guardian Angel Program, an advocacy group for seniors. She also was a long-time committee member of North York Seniors which offers programs and service that support seniors at home to live more independent lives.
For 12 years she worked at the Municipality of York Region in Community and Health Services Department, completed a contract at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital and continues to performs crisis counselling for Toronto Victim Services. Her experience includes early intervention, crisis, grief and trauma counselling, risk assessment and advance care planning. Susan Luciani continues to base much of her clinical work from a holistic approach. She searches for innovative ways to assess and treat families in crisis.
Susan Luciani continues to dedicate her time through volunteering and is drawn towards endeavors that promote social justice and inclusion. Three years ago she made her recreational cottage her full-time residence and has been volunteering her time at The Town of Wasaga Beach Healthy Community Network, Good Food Box and St. Noel Parent Counsel.
